Lenovo lauds its New Zealand PC and data centre partners

Lenovo has named its top partners at its partner awards event held yesterday in Auckland and hosted by former rugby union player Ian Jones.

The 14 awards recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of Lenovo’s PC and data centre group partner community over the past year, who have delivered exceptional services and value to their customers. 

One of the most coveted awards is the Lenovo Legend Award, with the winner taking the title of the top-performing individual in New Zealand.

That award went to Misty Downie of Spark who demonstrated exceptionally high levels of professionalism when advocating Lenovo in the marketplace and is responsible for managing some of the most enduring client relationships in New Zealand. 

"She constantly initiates conversations with customers around product trends, transition and migration strategies, and how to build efficient and effective offerings," Lenovo said. 

"Misty’s hard work and dedication has earned her an exceptionally strong reputation within her own company as well as in the marketplace."

The PC group award winners were:

New Zealand’s distributor of the year – Ingram Micro
Ingram Micro continued to work closely with Lenovo to deliver solid year-on-year growth. It’s team continued to drive the Lenovo brand through an innovative and consistent marketing strategy that drove sales and customer loyalty.

Growth partner of the year – Acquire
As a long-standing partner of Lenovo, Acquire delivered a consistent sales performance quarter over quarter and innovative marketing programs. Impressive results included record growth for Acquire for FY18/19.

Innovation partner of the year – Datacom
Datacom continued to not only focus on Lenovo’s core products, but also on delivering quarter-on-quarter growth across all of New Zealand, embracing Lenovo’s new products sets and solutions and adding value through its own offerings.

Education partner of the year – PB Tech
Demonstrating continued growth year-on-year as one of Lenovo’s largest education partners, PB Tech has built a true partnership with Lenovo in the education sector, supporting its brand strategy and presence in every aspect of it’s work.

Reseller of the year, platinum partner – Spark
As Lenovo’s fastest growing platinum partner in the enterprise business year-on-year, Spark continued to deliver impressive growth due to its strategic and customer relationships and strong ties with the government sector.

Reseller of the year, gold partner – Focus Technology Group
As the fastest growing gold partner in the channel, Focus Technology Group not only continued to demonstrate its loyalty to the Lenovo brand but also achieved increased revenue quarter-on-quarter in the SMB, enterprise and education segments.

Growth partner of the year – Focus Technology Group
As Lenovo’s top-performing growth partner, Focus Technology Group continued to work seamlessly with Lenovo over the last 12 months to to deliver the best consumer experience.

Innovation partner of the year – Bearena NZ
Bearena NZ have demonstrated focus, dedication and success by winning multiple Lenovo HX customers and leveraging Lenovo headcount funding to invest in additional sales resources in Wellington to build up its national presence and capitalise on a new consumer base.

Managed service provider of the year – OneNet
By delivering the highest new client acquisition revenue over the last 12 months, OneNet has continued to demonstrate great sales and technical skills as well as a leadership position in New Zealand’s market.

Reseller of the year, platinum partner – Plan B
Plan B was successful in growing its DCG business by working in true partnership with Lenovo. As an active participant in Lenovo’s executive psonsor program, Plan B looked to grow and leverage new business opportunities and always supports its customer’s growth and ideas.

Reseller of the year, gold partner – New Era IT
New Era IT is Lenovo’s top performing gold partner in New Zealand this year. The company established itself as the leader in New Zealand’s education market, delivering solutions to schools hosted on their Lenovo HX platform, and continued to grow and deliver excellence every year.

Reseller of the year, silver partner – Think IT Ltd
As Lenovo’s top-performing silver partner, Think IT Ltd continued to deliver stellar results and growth delivering Lenovo DCG solutions to its SMB customers.

Technical excellence award, Alex McDonnell – OneNet
Alex McDonnell has been working with Lenovo server and storage for over five years and established strong relationships with the Lenovo technical teams. He was a great communicator and an indispensable team member, who is known for delivering spot-on, innovative solutions that require out-of-the-box thinking.
