Spark New Zealand has appointed its CEO Jolie Hodson as an executive director on the company's board.
Hodson, the telecommunication company's former customer director, became CEO on 1 July replacing Simon Moutter who resigned in April.
Former Telstra CFO Warwick Bray has also joined Spark's board as a non-executive director.
Spark New Zealand chair Justine Smyth said the board had been reviewing its composition and skills mix since Alison Gerry left the in May 2019 and was looking for a new director with strong financial expertise who could also join the audit and risk management committee.
"We have found an excellent candidate in Warwick – he has extensive finance and strategy expertise combined with deep telecommunications industry experience, which is a rare find," Smyth said in a statement. "Following this broader review of board composition, we also decided to appoint Jolie to the board."
Bray worked for nine years for Telstra across various roles including group managing director product, executive director mobile and head of corporate strategy.
He has been a managing director at JP Morgan, in London, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, also in London, in telecommunications equity research. Bray also advised telcos on strategy, regulation and operational improvement in Europe.
