New Zealand's Plan B Group and Australian specialist IT provider BG Unified Solutions are expanding their network relationship.

BG Unified Solutions will expand offerings to its Australian clients to include the national backbone of Plan B’s WAN and network solutions provider division, Solarix.

“BG Unified Solutions are highly respected in Australia, with security offerings second to none and a high degree of credibility in the government sector," said Rudi Hefer, Plan B Group’s sales and marketing director.

"They have Australian clients who need a solid network infrastructure for their New Zealand-based operations and are also developing local clients with the same needs.”

There was huge value add for both companies in the relationship, said BG Unified Solutions managing director Saurabh Sareen.

"Putting our IT services on top of Solarix’s backbone, access services and data centres gives us a really strong offering for our customers.

"Meanwhile, we can help expand Solarix’s customer base in Australia. We both benefit from having improved infrastructure.”

Sareen says BG Unified Solutions has grown quickly in the past three years on the back of its government contracts, particularly in New South Wales and Victoria. The company will be targeting enterprise and SMB customers with its New Zealand links.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
