CompTIA has announced its first A/NZ Channel Community Executive Council (EC) members in New Zealand.

Warwick Grey, sales manager of Hachiko, and Grant Finer, chief technology evangelist at Pivot Partners, will join the council.

The appointments were made following the A/NZ channel community’s first meeting in Auckland in May and ahead of its next event, which is scheduled for November.

CompTIA (The Computing Technology Industry Association) is a non-profit trade association, community and  issuer of professional certifications.

“The first community meeting in Auckland was a great success and CompTIA’s new EC members will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and support for the community in New Zealand, as well as attracting new members in the region," said Moheb Moses, director, Channel Dynamics and A/NZ community director, CompTIA.

Moses said while there were already a number of industry bodies in New Zealand, CompTIA can play a significant role in working with, and supporting, these bodies through its research, education programs and philanthropic activities.

"It’s fantastic that we have appointed two industry veterans who can identify the gaps where we can add the most value without replicating what’s already working," he said.

Grey is a veteran of Microsoft, Renaissance Corporation and HP while Finer counts experience at VMware, Rackspace and F5 among others. Both have focused significantly on channel sales and marketing in their careers.
