ERP software vendor Infor has won new business from Auckland Transport (AT), which will move to Infor's CloudSuite Enterprise Asset Management.

The multi-year software-as-a-service (SaaS) project will help optimise AT’s multi-billion-dollar assets across the organisation to boost decision-making and customer satisfaction.

AT needed to manage the complete lifecycle of its $19 billion worth of assets across the Auckland Region.

CloudSuite EAM will support collaboration and an evidence-based culture of decision-making across all asset classes and asset lifecycle phases to align with the ISO 55000 principles of the International Organization for Standardization.

The ability to use building information modelling (BIM) supported tools and technologies and other spatial attributes was also important to AT.

The new solution will replace numerous current siloed systems and spreadsheets, providing improved service delivery by AT and better value for money and life from its assets.

“Auckland Transport is pleased to partner with Infor, which emerged the winner in a very comprehensive tender selection process,” said Shane Ellison, chief executive officer, Auckland Transport.

“We chose Infor for its deep industry expertise, innovative culture and strong track record in asset-intensive implementations, particularly in the transportation sector with reference names such as the MTAs of New York and San Francisco."

Helen Masters, senior vice president and general manager, Infor Asia Pacific and Japan, said Infor was committed to partnering with AT to help enable the organisation to better respond to the challenges of a rapidly-growing city.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
