VMware has announced the appointment of Angela Cunneen as country manager for New Zealand.
Cunneen will be responsible for management, business operations and strategic planning, with a focus on strengthening relationships, facilitating greater collaboration with partners and adding strategic value to customers as they navigate the digital transformation process.
She brings 25 years of experience in senior ICT sales and management roles, including time with Dell and EMC.
“Her breadth of experience and unique understanding of the New Zealand ICT industry will be key to VMware becoming a strategic advisor for our customers and developing valuable opportunities for our partners in the geography," said Alister Dias, vice president and managing director of VMware Australia and New Zealand.
Cunneen, who was formerly enterprise account director for Dell Technologies, said there was a huge opportunity for VMware to leverage its industry leadership in New Zealand for the benefit of our customers and partners.
"With the value of our local technology sector continuing to grow, now is the perfect time to tap into the wide range of opportunities available to help customers innovate,” she said.
VMware New Zealand's business has also welcomed other new employees to further bolster the team, including Olivier Erguy, a four-year VMware veteran transferring from VMware's Paris office, as enterprise sales executive and Vivian Tu, business development manager for cloud and MSPs.
Cunneen was a shining star award winner at the Reseller News Women and ICT Awards 2019.
