Specialist networking distributor Access Networks has sealed a distribution agreement with industrial IoT provider WoMaster.

Mark Dasent, sales and marketing director for Access Networks, said WoMaster was picked because of its experience and broad range of products in the IoT space but also because of its core values which "align well to the way we do business".

“WoMaster covers solutions in the industrial IoT space as well as smart cities and industrial secured network," Dasent said.

"We are already working on opportunities and look forward to developing the channel as this IoT market continues to develop and grow here.”

Sylvia Lin, Taiwan-based WoMaster's APAC sales director, said Access Networks brings a solid reputation and experience in the NZ and Pacific Islands markets around delivering IoT solutions. The deal also matches WoMaster's strategy of delivering value to customers,

Last week, Access announced former Allied Telesis country manager Paul Batchelor would join the company to help develop and execute its growth strategies.

Based in Wellington, Batchelor will be looking after the lower North Island and South Island.

"It’s a great opportunity to engage with resellers across a focused range of network brands and solutions covering telecommunications, enterprise, industrial, IoT, wireless and network management and monitoring," Batchelor said.

Dasent said Batchelor had done a tremendous job with Allied Telesis over the many years.

“We will be adding more complimentary vendors over the coming months in our core areas of focus and expertise”, he said.

Access Networks provides a range of networking, wireless IoT and access solutions to customers in the hospitality, utilities, education and telecommunications industry in the region.
