Security software specialist distributor Chillisoft is making it easier for managed service providers to extend into managed security services via new Eset tools.
Last week the company hosted Eset's enterprise sales strategy manager, Robert Cisar, in Auckland for the launch of Eset Enterprise, a new set of multi-tenentable tools to help detect, manage and fight new zero-day security threats.
The centrepiece of the suite is a new offering called Eset Enterprise Inspector, endpoint detection and response (EDR) tool providing real-time data from Eset’S endpoint security platform.
The tool offers managed security service providers and other users sandboxes in which to more safely test suspected malware and reduce the chance of a network breach.
The service, called dynamic threat defence, can conduct short sandbox tests locally or full tests of up to five minutes in the cloud, Cisar said.
All-up, the new suite can help enterprises and MSPs establish their own security operations centres (SOCs).
Alex Teh, CEO of Chillisoft, said the company had been the sole distributor of Slovakia-based Eset for 15 years.
"We are 'Eset by proxi'," he said.
There are 400,000 Eset seats deployed in New Zealand, he said, or around 20 per cent of the endpoint security market.
Chillisoft, however, also has around 1,500 partners, including 64 MSPs in New Zealand and has delivered training to 500 Eset engineers in the last 12 months.
Chillisoft also distributes other products Teh described as complementary to Eset's technology, such as LogRhythm, Tripwire and Forcepoint
