Spark-owned ICT distributor Telegistics has inked a deal to market, distribute and maintain Nokia's full line of passive optical network technologies in New Zealand.
Telegistics' CEO John van Rensburg said it was bringing on and certifying several channel partners and working with a number of financial services companies to offer a cradle-to-grave service.
These include capex to opex mechanisms out of the box and options for an install service if a channel partner needs support to get fibre to the desktop.
Telegistics has installed and used Nokia’s fibre solution in its innovation space at its new Mt Wellington, Auckland, headquarters, van Rensburg said.
"Here, we can demonstrate the technology driven by the increasing reliance on cloud hosted applications, high bandwidth demand applications and increasing pressure on in-building connectivity to deliver the best speeds and the lowest latencies together with our partners," he said.
Jerome Jullien, head of Nokia global channel and alliances said the Nokia global partner program is a critical component of its sales force – and strengthens the company's primary route to market for enterprise and public sector business opportunities.
"We are pleased to welcome Telegistics to the program to help drive new growth and develop new customer relationships in New Zealand," he said.
Telegistics has traditionally been a provider of 3PL, or third party logistics, services and support for a range of mainly mobile products.
In 2017, however, the company added Cisco to its stable giving it a significant beachhead into the ICT distribution market. Nokia's optical LAN products extend that further.
