Vertiv has appointed Cuthbert Stewart Limited (CSL) as the New Zealand distributor for its power protection portfolio.
The data centre infrastructure specialist handed the Auckland-based distributor its Vertiv Liebert Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) product suite aimed at the wholesale electrical, industrial and utilities sectors.
Vertiv already has a presence in the NZ IT industry but is hoping to drive expansion into the industrial and utility markets, according to the vendor’s A/NZ MD Robert Linsdell.
“We have already seen the value of energy audits in the corporate space and CSL’s ability to now offer that type of service to industrial customers, backed up by the solutions to deliver efficient, reliable power, is significant from both an environmental impact and a business continuity standpoint,” he added.
Earlier this year, CSL acquired Energy Solution Providers and the two companies now offer energy audits as well as technical electrical product distribution.
“Vertiv offers a complete range of reliable, rugged UPS systems that are ideally suited to our industrial market and conditions,” said CSL CEO Phil Elliott.
“It is a world-class offering backed up by people who understand our market and offer expert, local support. We are looking forward to bringing together Vertiv and our network of channel partners servicing the industrial market.”
The appointment follows the recent departure of Vertiv’s A/NZ channel manager Daniel Sargent who had been with the company for 12 years. His replacement has still to be announced.
