Selwyn Pellett is handing over the reins at fleet software company Coretex to William Payne as PaySauce and Zag also make key appointments.

Payne, who is currently CIO at building and construction company Boral, will take over as CEO of the fleet safety and management software company on 1 August.

Pellett will remain on the Coretex board as a non-executive director.

Payne comes with experience as both chief information officer and chief strategy officer in companies in Australia, Europe and the United States.

Most recently, he led the creation and implementation of a digital strategy at Boral, reshaping the company’s IT function into Boral Digital Solutions and making it an element of the wider organisation’s future business strategy.

Meanwhile, at cloud services provider and SAP specialist Zag (until last year called Soltius), Craig Davis is stepping into the newly created role of platform manager for New Zealand and Australia with the responsibility for overseeing growth, technology and services for both SAP Basis and cloud.

Davis has been with Zag for over 12 years, most recently as business line manager for Basis and prior to that he worked as an enterprise architect. He will lead a platform team of 34 in the Pacific region.

Finally, NZX-listed SaaS company PaySauce has made Mat Stokes its chief operating officer to lead development of a marketplace of networked applications for employers and employees as PaySauce transitions from being  payroll provider.

Stokes was head of integration of business ventures at ASB and most recently chief product officer and co-founder of Plus, an ASB-backed startup for business reporting and analysis.

He has worked on systems integration with the likes of Exxon Mobil, Bank of America and Xero.
