Accessories vendor Targus has expanded its channel presence in New Zealand by adding Dicker Data to its distribution portfolio.
Dicker will have access to all Targus products spanning carry cases, backpacks, tablet cases, mobile hubs, chargers, universal docking stations, protection and security devices. Dicker joins Synnex and Ingram Micro as the third Targus distributior in the country.
Dicker Data general manager of volume Richard Harri said the distributor was continuing to grow its presence in the device market, which generated an increasing demand for accessories.
Targus expects the new partnership will open up access to a wider network of resellers, tapping into SME, government, enterprise and education markets.
The accessories vendor provides resellers and distribution partners with access to training, marketing, lead generation, promotions, and technical support, and additionally helps distributors with stock management and dealer channel programs.
“Dicker Data’s channel-lead programs will be an invaluable asset to Targus, as we continue to expand the role of the channel in supporting our growth trajectory and strive to provide our customers with the tools and solutions to enable anytime, anywhere productivity, connectivity and mobility," Targus New Zealand country manager, Tony Gibbs, said. “We look forward to building a collaborative relationship with mutually rewarding outcomes.
“The Targus range of products provide Dicker Data and its resellers with unique points of difference to help generate incremental revenue streams.”
In January, Dicker Data revealed higher than expected revenue results for the financial year ended 31 December 2018, showing a 14.4 per cent increase to $1.49 billion.
The revenue increase was mainly attributed to better than expected results with new vendor relationships.
