SAP New Zealand has inked a cloud framework agreement allowing government agencies to buy cloud systems under standard terms.

The agreement applies to SAP's public and private cloud portfolio including its ERP business suite, human capital management and payroll, external workforce management, platform and data management, citizen experience and engagement, supply chain and procurement, and its innovation and analytics platform.

“SAP is seeing increased demand for our solutions and services on important New Zealand initiatives, so this agreement will allow agencies to benefit from operational efficiencies and become intelligent agencies supported in the cloud" said Nick Quin, director, public sector of SAP New Zealand.

The Department of Internal Affairs, as the lead government agency, signed the agreement on behalf of all central and local government agencies, which can now access standard terms and pricing.

Government agencies will be treated as a single customer, delivering a simpler experience, economies of scale, flexibility, and enabling faster implementation, SAP said.

“Data-driven solutions are the most powerful way to solve some of society’s most pressing problems. The New Zealand Government’s cloud first policy demonstrates its innovative approach to tackling these and to deliver value to its citizens," Quin said.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
