Two of the major communications companies operating across the North American market have signed up for IkeGPS' Ike Analyze system.

Charter Communications, the largest cable company in the US and Crown Castle, the largest provider of shared communications infrastructure in the US have both contracted to use technology from the NZX-listed developer.

IkeGPS CEO Glenn Milnes said the customer wins were another step towards the company's goal to have Ike Analyze become the work flow and data standard for "aerial-make-ready" engineering for communications and fibre network deployments.

“As is typical with our customer development process these contracts are initially regional in focus but provide the potential for expansion across national network footprints," he said.

"These businesses are of extremely large scale and the long-term revenue opportunity from Ike Analyze transactions and software subscriptions is significant."

Milnes said another major customer, AT&T, the largest communications company in the US, moved from an initial deployment of Ike systems 18 months ago to having the ‘Ike standard’ written into its articles for its aerial make-ready-engineering.

“We are winning these customers for simple reasons; Ike Analyze enables networks to be deployed faster and with a higher quality data standard," he said.

"We continue to see very high levels of investment and activity across the market specific to fibre and 5G network deployments and expect this trend to continue, or increase, over the next five years."
