SailPoint has added Duo as its a second value-added distributor in New Zealand as it continues to build a regional presence.

The US-based identity security vendor has signed a deal with the Wellington-based security distributor, which it will work with alongside its existing distributor M.Tech.

Founded in 1996, Duo specialises in security, storage and memory and will “bring the power of identity to customers in New Zealand”, SailPoint said in a statement.

The news coincides with the appointment of Ian Teague as SailPoint’s new sales director for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Teague has worked in the IT and security industry for the last 25 years. He most recently spent four years with Gigamon as A/NZ country manager and previously held the same position at Akamai Technologies.

“Our Australian and New Zealand business is 100 per cent channel-led, and we pride ourselves on a strong identity ecosystem worldwide,” SailPoint vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan Terry Burgess said.

“These new appointments reinforce that we are as committed to our partners’ success as we are to our customers’ success.”

The announcements follows the appointment of Craig McGregor as SailPoint's first APAC channel director after moving on from IBM.
