Consegna has achieved DevOps competency status aligned to Amazon Web Services (AWS), in recognition of deep expertise within the vendor’s cloud platform.

To achieve such status, AWS Partner Network (APN) members must possess specialist technical skills on AWS, backed up by customer stories and references.

Furthermore, key proficiencies include organisational change management, continuous integration, delivery and toolchain, in addition to monitoring, logging, performance, infrastructure as code and consulting.

“Achieving this new AWS competency is a significant milestone, and will enable Consegna to drive forward with further DevOps client opportunities,” said John Taylor, managing director of Consegna.

“This is the culmination of our DevOps certified AWS team working hard with our clients for the past three years, coupled with the practical application of delivery across multiple verticals, including commercial, SMB, government and tertiary education.”

Delivered through managed services, the Auckland-based business specialises in AWS offerings such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild and CodeDeploy, having launched locally in June 2016.

“Consegna has fully adopted serverless application development as the new normal,” added Chris McKinnel, manager of cloud services and DevOps at Consegna. “It enables technical teams to deliver value to the business much faster than they can with traditional methods.”

The move comes around six months after Cosegna achieved government competency status on AWS in New Zealand, allowing the start-up to provide critical workloads and applications to agencies across the country.

As revealed by Reseller News, the new competency also includes government agencies in Australia, recognising approved AWS partners capable of providing tailored solutions to public sector customers.

Specifically, the status spans core government categories such as government transportation, facilities and infrastructure management, alongside justice and public safety, public healthcare and financial and fiscal affairs departments.

Furthermore, other categories include citizen services, national security and defence, security and compliance, and open data, leveraging AWS services in the process.
