Exclusive Networks has appointed Jeff Clynes as country manager of New Zealand, recruiting the distribution expert from Arrow ECS NZ.

Reseller News can reveal that Clynes is tasked with expanding the distributor’s footprint across the country, alongside driving expansion through partner and vendor networks.

“Jeff’s extensive distribution experience and strong relationships in the New Zealand market made him an obvious choice Exclusive,” said Jonathan Odria, managing director of Pacific at Exclusive Networks. “Jeff is well suited to build on our year-on-year growth of 60 per cent in New Zealand, and take us the next level.

“We are continuing our investment in New Zealand and have recently moved to larger new premises, we will have two additional new resources join in the next two months as part of growth strategy.”

Clynes - who replaces Mike Nugent in the role - joins from Arrow ECS NZ, having held the role of Kiwi sales manager for more than two years, during a three-year stint with the distributor.

Prior to Arrow ECS NZ, Clynes spent five years at Westcon-Comstor in New Zealand, first as a client manager and then as business manager of APC by Schneider Electric, Blue Coat and Check Point portfolios.

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
