Cohesity names first-ever A/NZ channel boss

Storage and back-up vendor Cohesity has appointed Kathryn Ramanathan as its first channel and alliances manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Ramanathan will be based in Melbourne and will help Cohesity deliver partners with technical enablement, training, market development support and collaborative selling solutions.

She joins from Hitachi Vantara where she was team lead and strategic partner manager for the southern region.

With more than 10 years of industry experience, Ramanathan has also worked as the A/NZ OEM Territory Representative for Brocade Communications where she worked with partners to close deals across the company’s range of storage area networks, IP, SWN and Wi-Fi solutions.

Ramanathan also worked at Hewlett Packard Australia for more than five years in several roles, including as enterprise service storage communications and promotions manager and at NTT Communications as enterprise account manager.

Prior to her appointment, Cohesity's managing director for A/NZ Theo Hourmouzis was in charge of the channel partners.

“We have experienced significant growth in the past year across Australia and New Zealand and as a channel-led organisation Kathryn’s appointment is a natural step in further enhancing our dedicated focus and support to regional partners to ensure their success," said Hourmouzis.

Hourmouzis was appointed managing director in March 2018 after five years at Nimble Storage, where he had most recently been director of sales.

Upcoming tech talent share insights at inaugural Emerging Leaders Forum 2019

The channel came together for the inaugural Reseller News Emerging Leaders Forum in New Zealand, created to provide a program that identifies, educates and showcases the upcoming talent of the ICT industry. Hosted as a half day event, attendees heard from industry champions as keynoters and panelists talked about future opportunities and leadership paths and joined mentoring sessions with members of the ICT industry Hall of Fame.
