Wellington-based Optimation has partnered with OutSystems in a move designed to help government and corporate customers speed up the delivery of business applications.

Headquartered in Atlanta, US, OutSystems is a low-code platform build to facilitate application development, in addition to cloud, software and security capabilities.

“As part of our ‘kit bag’, OutSystems low-code development platform will enable us to design and deliver great software fast and at scale,” said David Norman, general manager of delivery at Optimation Group.

“That applies whether customers simply want us to develop a new standalone mobile or web app, or they engage Optimation to help them build large-scale business critical applications that leverage enterprise systems and legacy platforms.”

According to Norman, the vendor’s low-code development platform offers customers “fast time-to-value” for mobile and web apps, while boosting cloud-enabled solutions and legacy system modernisation.

“Optimation has over 26 years’ experience in helping customers choose the right technology, tools and processes to achieve business outcomes from software investments,” Norman added.

Norman said Optimation’s “design thinking” expertise will help customers achieve reduced development and maintenance costs, backed up by increased enterprise scalability.

“We see our partnership with Optimation as an opportunity to help our customers in the region solve their business challenges faster and with more agility,” added Steve Oliff, regional director of OutSystems.

“Optimation’s capability together with their experience in the region will be a significant boost for OutSystems to support more companies in their digital ambitions.”

The partnership comes less than a month after Optimation appointed Philip Jones as general manager of strategic initiatives in New Zealand, recruiting the industry executive from Rhipe.

As reported by Reseller News, Jones is tasked with “establishing a strong business development and channel partner strategy” for the provider’s social and corrective services product play into Australia.
