Optimation has appointed Philip Jones as general manager of strategic initiatives in New Zealand, recruiting the industry executive from Rhipe.
Headquartered in Wellington, Optimation is a digital technology provider with expertise across development and integration, consulting, managed services and analytics.
“Optimation has a number of key business areas we are looking to aggressively grow out in the New Year, and Philip will be tasked with making some of these a reality over the next 18 months,” said Alex Bouma, CEO of Optimation.
“Specifically, Philip will take point on establishing a strong business development and channel partner strategy for our social and corrective services product play into Australia and beyond.”
Prior to joining Optimation, Jones was general manager of global customer services at Rhipe, tasked with the management of the distributor’s customer service delivery team across Asia Pacific.
With more than 10 years experience in business development and sales, Jones spent over six years at Auckland Council, managing contact centres through ongoing market transitions.
Furthermore, Jones also held management roles at Axon Computer Systems, running the Northern Region sales team for more than two years until January 2011.
“Optimation’s credentials in the Justice Sector are built on our long term relationship with NZ Corrections, and other programs of work carried out across the wider Social and Justice sectors in New Zealand,” Bouma added.
“Our ambition to harness this experience and know-how into a powerful set of products that grow digital engagement, and make a real difference to the lives of people across this critical sector, is at the heart of our new international product strategy.
“Philip comes with a broad set of experiences that make him ideally suited to take the lead on these key areas at Optimation that are expected to accelerate our growth both in New Zealand and overseas.”
