Chillisoft has signed a distribution agreement with Forcepoint in New Zealand, as the security specialists build out capabilities across the channel.

Reseller News can reveal that the Auckland-based distributor will appoint a technical product manager within the vendor’s portfolio to help recruit and enable resellers nationwide.

Specifically, Chillisoft will offer access to a range of cyber security solutions, spanning next-generation firewall, web and email protection, data loss prevention, cloud and analytics offerings.

“We will provide a full value-added service to the Forcepoint business with vendor- grade pre and post-sales support services to New Zealand businesses,” said Alex Teh, CEO of Chillisoft, when speaking to Reseller News.

“We already have a strong network of over 1000 channel partners, who appreciate and enjoy our great local support.”

According to Teh, resellers can deploy such capabtlies as single products or “multiple, integrated technologies” that fit within an existing cyber security environment.

“Most of our New Zealand partners are looking to increase their managed services offerings and Forcepoint’s security products fit well into their MSP business model,” Teh added.

“But, it is Forcepoint’s human-centric approach to security that sets them apart in the market and provides businesses with the best defence system for the protection of critical data and IP.”

The move comes four months after Teh was appointed as CEO in New Zealand, as the specialist distributor embarks on expansion plans across the channel.

As reported by Reseller News, the distribution expert joined the Auckland-based company from Exclusive Networks in July.

“Our commitment to reinventing cyber security has led to the creation of uncompromising systems that understand people’s behaviours and motivations as they interact with data and IP everywhere,” said George Chang, vice president of sales for Asia Pacific at Forcepoint.

“Today, thousands of government organisations and enterprises globally rely on this human-centric approach to security.”

From a channel perspective, Chang said partners can leverage the alliance to differentiate through “human-centric” cyber security solutions, backed up by value-added services.

“Forcepoint’s proactive, risk-adaptive cyber security solutions can support the unique and complex missions of customers across a wide range of industries and government sectors,” Chang added.

“Chillisoft’s large network of resellers having a varied customer base will extend our collective reach, create repeat revenue streams, and drive mutual success.”
