Mimecast to start offering partners prizes in return for sales numbers

Mimecast has unveiled a new online partner reward program for Australian and New Zealand partners.

Mimecast Maximiser is a reward scheme rewarding partners for deal registration on new logo business, closing sales and completing certifications, among other activities.

The points awarded to partners will be entered into a ‘leaderboard’ and those with the most number of points are able to ‘bid’ for auction prizes, such as $100 Visa gift cards, drones, GoPro, tablets, smart watches and Sonos electronics. The top prize will be a trip to Mimecast’s headquarters in Boston, United States.

Points awarded are also tiered on the value of sales, ranging from 100 points for a $10,000 sale and 500 for deals worth $100,000.

The scheme is open to Elite, Premier and Certified-tier partner sales representatives.

“We’re thrilled to offer partners an additional opportunity to accelerate new business potential,” said Rema Lolas, channel director Australia and New Zealand at Mimecast. “It ensures our joint engagements with partners are easy and rewarding for everyone involved as we service our customers together.”

The incentive scheme comes eight months after Lolas joined Mimecast as channel director for A/NZ from Dell EMC.

Two months after her appointment, Mimecast, which locally works entirely with the channel, launched a global partner program in a bid to unify the different programs across the world.  

At the time of the announcement, the vendor said it would offer deeper discounts for those partners that achieve specific goals, new training programs and enablement tracks for a comprehensive understanding of Mimecast’s integrated cloud suite of solutions.
