Vertiv has appointed Chris Westall as channel business development manager in New Zealand, as the vendor increases efforts across smart cities.
Based in New Zealand, Westall will be responsible for expanding channel operations across the local market, in addition to responsibilities across Australia.
Specifically, Westall will work with Kiwi distributors Ingram Micro and Dove Electronics, while also providing product enablement and training to partners across the ecosystem.
“Chris brings a wealth of experience to Vertiv and we’ll work closely together to sign up new channel partners both in New Zealand and Australia,” said Daniel Sim, senior channel director of Asia at Vertiv.
“The drive across A/NZ to become leaders in smart cities provides great opportunities for us and our channel partners.
“We can help businesses and government organisations embed the right platform for Internet of Things (IoT) and smart city applications, and make necessary changes to distributed networks to transition to more colocation and cloud services.
“As this momentum builds, we’ll continue to invest in building channel partners and drive more single phase uninterruptable power source (UPS) products and strategies in New Zealand and across the Asia Pacific region.”
Westall joins from Eaton Industries, where he worked as product manager for single phase and distributed control systems across A/NZ.
