Reseller News Innovation Awards: and the finalists are…

First time submissions from host of new-look partners

Reseller News is proud to announce the finalists for the new-look Reseller News Innovation Awards in 2018, featuring a powerful line-up of emerging and established partners.

This year sees a host of first time submissions across the ecosystem, in recognition of the revamped line-up and increased focus on customer innovation and excellence.

Reflecting the depth of the local partner network, this spans value-added resellers, managed service providers and system integrators, alongside a new breed of partners.

Specifically, consultancy firms, independent software vendors, digital agencies, industry specialists and start-ups.

Completing the finalist line-up, vendors and distributors are also represented in force, spanning hardware, software, specialist, cloud and security technologies.

In response to a wealth of standout submissions, seven categories exceed the traditional six finalist limit, highlighting the strength and depth of the New Zealand channel.

Emerging technologies dominated the submissions, with a multitude of nominations across cloud, digital transformation and smart technologies.

Since launching in 2015, the fourth running of the Awards will continue to celebrate and reward excellence across the Kiwi channel.

The revamped line-up will recognise customer value and innovation, spanning start-ups, partners, distributors and vendors.

Specifically, the Awards will honour the channel across eight categories - Partner Value; Emerging Technologies; Homegrown Innovators; Vendor Value; Distributor Value; Entrepreneurship Innovation; Channel Choice and Hall of Fame.

This year sees the introduction of the Emerging Technologies Awards, recognising partners providing customer value through new and emerging technologies - Cloud; Smart Technology; Digital Transformation and Internet of Things.

In 2018, new awards open exclusively to partners also include Export, Collaboration and Customer Value.

This year also sees the introduction of a Marketing Excellence award, honouring marketing professionals working across start-up, partner, distributor and vendor organisations.

Delving deeper, Channel Choice, Reseller News’ online-only people’s choice awards, allows readers the chance to choose their favourite vendor, distributor or partner over the past 12 months.

This year, a new award is being introduced in the form of Channel Enabler, recognising individuals within a vendor or distributor organisation, who continually adds value for partners.

The Awards already recognise individual excellence through Channel and Management Excellence awards, but this individual will be on the front-line, working with partners daily to help deliver innovation to customers.

Reseller News asks the CEOs, managing directors and channel managers to put forward these unsung heroes, and for partners to recognise outstanding work that makes their business successful.

Voting will run until close of play on 17 September and only one vote per person/business email address will be accepted - to vote, click here.

Selection process

Following an overwhelming response, finalist submissions were selected by a shortlist panel consisting of Reseller News president and publisher, Susan Searle; Reseller News editorial director James Henderson; Reseller News associate publisher Cherry Yumul and Reseller News Hall of Fame inductee Keith Watson.

The winners will now be selected by an expansive panel of more than 70 industry judges, acknowledging creativity, innovation and excellence.

Winners will be unveiled during a celebratory dinner at the Cordis in Auckland on 10 October, attended by more than 400 leading figures within the industry.

Reseller News congratulates all finalists and thanks all organisations and individuals for taking the time to submit nominations.
