Mimecast has honoured the top performing partners across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) during the past 12 months, as the security specialists continue to expand through the channel.

Spanning eight categories, winners were selected based on financial performance and growth, strategic alignment and delivering customer outcomes.

Brennan IT claimed Legendary Partner honours, following a year of increased customer acquisitions, while Dimension Data Australia was recognised as Elite Partner.

Meanwhile, Data#3 was honoured as Certified Partner, VMtech as Rising Star, Datacom for Customer Excellence and The Missing Link for Partner Innovation.

From an individual perspective, Tom Hickmott of Techware was named Technical Champion, with Adam Barker of SecureWare honoured as Champion.

Partners also nominated a Mimecast Partner Advocate, which was awarded to Mimecast business development manager, Duke Ratnayake.

“I’d like to thank all the winners and finalists for their support of our technology and driving our continued shared growth,” said Rema Lolas, channel director A/NZ at Mimecast.

“Our commitment to channel partners who share our passion for delivering great customer outcomes is stronger than ever and it's so great to reward our partners and stand-out individuals for their efforts, loyalty and partnership.

“It’s certainly an exciting time for our channel partner community and I look forward to building the momentum for an even better 2019.”

Lolas said the vendor continues to “rapidly” grow and expand solution capabilities across the wider ecosystem of partners in A/NZ.

“It’s a great time for us to provide partners with increased opportunity and the chance to expand into adjacent markets of security awareness training and web security,” Lolas added.

“With Mimecast’s rapid growth in A/NZ, the opportunity for our partners to be successful and grow their business is immense. We’re devoted to helping our partners offer their customers the best approaches to fundamentally improve their cyber resilience.”

The honours come less than five months after Mimecast appointed Lolas to the newly created role of channel director across A/NZ.

As reported by ARN, the vendor started the year by doubling headcount amid a local hiring spree, designed to drive more opportunities through the channel.

And such growth is playing out in the numbers, with Mimecast signing up more than 40 new partners over the past 12 months on both sides of the Tasman, while also doubling its local customer-base.

The round of appointments also align to the vendor’s recently launched global partner program, designed to provide uniformity to partners both locally and globally.

For partners, the new program offers more rewards, aimed at increasing opportunities for resellers to attract new clients to long-term business relationships and build reputations as trusted business advisors.

In addition, Mimecast will offer deeper discounts for partners that achieve specific goals, new training programs and enablement tracks for a comprehensive understanding of the vendor’s integrated cloud suite of solutions.

Delving deeper, the vendor will also allow access to dedicated account resources, including partner account managers, sales engineers and marketing managers and will have a brand-new online Partner Success Dashboard, which will mean partners can track rewards that they already have or are approaching.
