Microsoft brings SMB-centric Dynamics 365 offering to NZ

Solution designed to help businesses manage finances, operations, sales and customer service

Microsoft has launched Dynamics 365 Business Central in New Zealand, as part of a trans-Tasman roll-out targeting small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Delivered through the cloud, the solution is designed to help businesses manage finances, operations, sales and customer service, while serving as an upgrade from entry level accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Specifically, the offering integrates with other Microsoft cloud services including Office 365, in addition to PowerApps, Microsoft Flow and Power BI.

“New Zealand SMBs are actively looking at expanding their business functionality to cater for the growing demands of their customers,” said Francois van Splunder, business applications marketing lead at Microsoft New Zealand.

“They recognise the value that business software can have in terms of making them more efficient and responsive to customer needs.

“Business Central has been designed specifically for these organisations, so they can focus on their core customers and core business.”

According to Microsoft, “best match” Kiwi partners include Intergen, Theta, Acumen Consulting, Endeavour Solutions, Fujitsu, Topaz Solutions and DXC Technology.

“This is a cloud-based solution that can grow with the business,” Van Splunder added.”It offers end-to-end functionality – and a far more comprehensive suite of capabilities than many of the entry level accounting systems.

“Business Central is highly intuitive, cost effective, and it integrates neatly with other business solutions such as Office 365 and Power BI to provide end to end business transformation opportunity.”

According to Van Splunder, the cloud solution can be deployed rapidly, customised as required, and grown on demand, adapting in real-time depending on business requirements.

“New Zealand SMBs are recognising that better use of technology, integration and efficiency will play a significant role in growing their business over the next year or two,” Van Splunder added.

“That’s precisely what Dynamics 365 Business Central has been designed for – to prime business for success and growth.”
