TeamTalk nabs Nokia NZ boss to lead sales and marketing

Listed minor telco hires an experienced industry hand in Phil Henderson, ex Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent

Former Nokia New Zealand general manager Phil Henderson is now leading sales and marketing for NZX-listed telco service provider TeamTalk.

Henderson will be part of the TeamTalk leadership team reporting to chief executive Andrew Miller, the company announced today.

Henderson comes with an "extremely good pedigree" in building and leading successful sales teams, TeamTalk said.

“Phil is extremely well connected and excels at building partnerships at executive level leading to successful outcomes for both parties," Miller said.

Henderson's LinkedIn page was today stating he was on gardening leave after exiting Nokia in May after more than two years with the company.

Before that he spent over four years with Alcatel-Lucent, which Nokia acquired in 2015, leading the relationship with major client Spark among other roles.

In May TeamTalk and Nokia inked a reseller agreement, to work together on delivering solutions focusing on services spanning communications, emergency and connected offerings, alongside wireless technologies, private LTE and the internet of things (IoT).

Henderson has many ideas about how we can deliver added value services utilising TeamTalk's new digital network along with its fibre and digital mobile radio capabilities, TeamTalk said in its announcement.
