Reseller News 2018 Women in ICT Awards - And the finalists are…

More than 35 individuals make the final shortlist in 2018, representing over 25 organisations

Reseller News is proud to announce the finalists for the 2018 Women in ICT Awards (WIICTA), playing host to the most comprehensive and competitive line-up in the history of the awards.

Highlighting the success of female front runners across the channel, more than 35 individuals make the final shortlist in 2018, representing over 25 organisations.

Reflective of Reseller News’ continued dedication to the New Zealand market, the 2018 awards will honour standout individuals across seven categories, spanning Entrepreneur; Innovation; Rising Star; Shining Star; Community; Technical and Achievement.

This year will see the introduction of an Achievement award, recognising outstanding commitment to the ICT industry through continuous career development and professional achievements.

Specifically, this candidate will have risen to a senior ICT role, earned a reputation as a recognised leader in the industry, and may also act as a role model/mentor to other aspiring female managers.

In response to a wealth of standout submissions, three categories exceed the traditional six finalist limit, with Rising Star, Shining Star and Achievement shortlisting seven, 13 and eight individuals respectively.

The end result is the most hotly contested WIICTA since launching in 2016, acknowledging the achievements of a talented group of female leaders and innovators, who have become influential figures across the local ICT industry.

Following an overwhelming response, finalist submissions were selected by a shortlist panel consisting of Reseller News publisher Susan Searle; Reseller News editorial director James Henderson and Reseller News associate publisher Cherry Yumul.

The winners will now be selected by a panel of industry judges, acknowledging creativity, innovation and excellence.

Held on Tuesday 19 June in Auckland, the celebration luncheon will recognise the innovation, excellence and entrepreneurial spirit of women in ICT, providing a platform to celebrate channel success in New Zealand.

Reseller News congratulates all finalists and thanks all organisations and individuals for taking the time to submit nominations.
