Equinox IT has appointed David Reiss as general manager of cloud and Auckland businesses, as the consultancy firm expands capabilities across New Zealand.

Terms of the role will see Reiss will take responsibility for the provider’s cloud services line of business, effectively immediately.

Specifically, this division helps organisations to both adopt agile and DevOps approaches using Microsoft technologies, alongside cloud platforms and services such as Azure and Amazon Web Services.

In addition, Reiss will also have general management responsibility for Equinox IT's Auckland office.

“There has been a real IT shift in recent years with smart organisations accelerating their efforts to digitise customer experiences using agile, DevOps and cloud,” Reiss said.

“I’m looking forward to growing our cloud business, and the experience and expertise we already provide, to help more clients flourish in a digital world.”

Reiss joined Equinox IT in 2016 in the role of principal consultant of digital transformation, after 14 years at Spark Digital.

Since his arrival, the industry veteran has played a central role in developing and growing Equinox IT's cloud business, both instigating and driving many of the company's cloud engagements with customers.

“David has made a substantial contribution to growing our cloud business and his leadership makes a real difference for our clients and their businesses,” Equinox IT chairman, Paul Ramsay, added.

Equinox IT is a New Zealand-owned technical IT consultancy providing IT advice, cloud and technology delivery and training, with over 50 staff based in Wellington and Auckland offices.
