Hills Limited (ASX:HIL) has signed new local distribution deals with XTA Electronics, MC2 Audio, Xilica Audio Design and Application Solutions (Safety and Security).
The new agreements see Hills distribute the vendors’ products exclusively in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
XTA Electronics and MC2 Audio are United Kingdom-based technology partners. XTA Electronics designs and manufactures audio processing equipment, while MC2 makes professional audio amplifiers.
Applications Solutions (Safety and Security) Limited is a manufacturer of public address, voice alarm, commercial sudio and 3D control systems. Xilica Audio Design Limited, meanwhile, provides configurable digital signal processing systems.
According to Hills, the XTA and MC2 offerings “round out” the distributor’s offering in the stadium and performance market while complementing the company’s distribution of Community Professional Loudspeakers.
The company also claimed that Applications Solutions (Safety and Security) Limited, in combination with Community’s mass notification speaker offering, would provide an emergency paging and voice alarm solution that the company can integrate into its fire and security business.
The introduction of Xilica, meanwhile, is expected to create opportunities across key verticals such as health, education and government.
“Bringing these brands into Hills ensures we continue as one of the largest value-add distributors of technology across Australia and New Zealand targeting the company’s key markets, which include transport infrastructure, entertainment, education and health,” Hills CEO and managing director, David Lenz, said.
“These vendor wins enhance Hills ability to provide customers with industry-leading solutions and demonstrates the Company’s capacity as a one-stop-shop for building technology solutions,” he said.
The new deals come just over a month after the distributor revealed that its new e-commerce platform had gone live.
The company, which recently brought its warehouse operations back in-house, said it experienced high volumes of site visits and account activations following the launch on 28 February.
The platform is the result of a partnership with IT services provider, Cognizant Worldwide, and it offers online purchasing with 24/7 real-time inventory and self-service capabilities including customer statements, invoices, pricing, online payments, and delivery information.
