Adam Taylor (Converga Group)
Converga Group has appointed Adam Taylor as head of New Zealand operations, as the managed service provider (MSP) builds out local capabilities.
As part of the global leadership team, Taylor will combine his current position as head of technology to perform a dual role locally, reporting directly to CEO, Paul Bellette.
Operating as a subsidiary of Canon Oceania, Converga specialises in business process outsourcing (BPO), information logistics, cloud hosted solutions and offshore services.
From a local perspective, the New Zealand Post Group sold Converga - then operating as a wholly owned subsidiary - to Canon Australia for an undisclosed sum in November 2015.
At the time of the agreement, Canon Australia said Converga would remain a standalone business, while also retaining independence and management autonomy.
Reseller News understands that the New Zealand Post Group continues to work closely with Converga as a customer of the provider’s document and business management services.
“We are delighted to announce Adam’s appointment to lead Converga New Zealand into the next phase of its continued transformation and growth,” Bellette said.
“Adam has demonstrated a track record of strong leadership and over the past 12 months he and his team have been instrumental in the success of the company’s digital transformation strategy.”
Prior to Converga, Taylor held senior management positions across research and development, professional services, operations and IT.
With more than 15 years’ experience delivering outsourced business transformation services to both the New Zealand and Australian markets, Taylor previously worked at Speedscan, Netcare and Medtech locally.
“In an environment where most of the business transformations are driven by IT innovation, we will be drawing on our expertise in advanced information logistics to drive and deliver greater impact for our clients,” Taylor added.
Converga employs approximately 1400 employees, with offices across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the US.
