Unified communications cloud provider, 8x8 is recruiting resellers in Australia and New Zealand to expand its local presence.
US-headquartered 8x8 has three offices in the US, two in the UK, one in Romania and in Sydney, Australia. 8x8 offers an integrated cloud communications and contact centre solution on one unified platform.
The company has been present in the region since August 2015, counts on eight partners across A/NZ, and has plans to grow its headcount to 10 staff within two months.
In September 2017, 8x8 appointed Brendan Maree to the vice president role for Asia Pacific. Maree was Interactive Intelligence senior vice president until April 2017, when he stepped down after 11 years with the company.
Maree said there has been a lot of interest in 8x8 solutions from mid-market and enterprise companies in A/NZ.
“For our channel partners and resellers, this is an untapped market opportunity to sell customer engagement solutions,” Maree said.
8x8 has dedicated account management for pre-sales and post-sales engineering, training and technical support to its Australian and New Zealand channel partners. The vendor is currently offering A/NZ resellers free sales, pre-sales and technical certification until 31 March 2018.
According to Maree, 8x8 provides support to resellers at all stages, however global support is provided through a network operations centres in San Jose, the US, and Cluj, in Romania.
The company counts with 15 data centre locations around the world, including one in Sydney.
8x8 partner program has five categories: reseller and wholesaler, affiliate and dealer, master agent, subagent and referral.
The reseller and wholesaler program provides monthly recurring commission payment, partners sign a direct partnership deal with the vendor, the reseller directly contracts, provisions, supports, and bills the customer and the partner has a minimum monthly recurring revenue commitment
8x8 closed its 2017 financial year with US$253.4 million in revenue and expects to close 2018 with US$293 million.
