Soft Solutions has signed a distribution agreement with unified communications vendor CounterPath, bringing subscription services to New Zealand, Australia and Singapore markets.
Terms of the agreement will see the Kiwi business distribute Bria Stretto, a subscription service packaged for partners to enable soft-phone deployments through CounterPath's cloud platform.
Specifically, the offering allows soft-phones to be distributed through the channel leveraging Stretto’s centrally-managed provisioning capabilities.
“As we shift our revenue stream from perpetual licenses to subscription services, CounterPath is expanding its distribution network to ensure we have deep coverage in all markets globally,” CounterPath vice president of channel management Bruce Ford said.
“Through our distribution agreement with Soft Solutions, CounterPath is expanding our access to more small, medium and large enterprises.
“We’re already impressed with Soft Solutions’ early success in gaining customers for our Bria Stretto solution, which includes delivery of hosted services such as centralised provisioning, corporate roster with presence and messaging, screen sharing and advanced analytics.”
Headquartered in Canada, CounterPath is a provider of desktop and mobile VoIP software products and solutions, with offerings spanning cloud, security, mobility and collaboration.
From a channel perspective, the vendor works with service providers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to integrate voice, video, presence and Instant Messaging (IM) applications into VoIP offerings across both fixed and mobile networks.

Through an expansive unified communications portfolio, CounterPath provides voice and video calling, messaging, and presence offerings to customers such as AT&T, Avaya and BroadSoft, as well as BT, Cisco and Mitel.
