Mia Distribution bolsters unified comms portfolio with US vendor addition

Mia Distribution to expand reach of cloud-based EdgeView Service Control Centre and the EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges

Mia Distribution has signed a distribution agreement with Edgewater Networks, taking Network Edge Orchestration solutions to partners across Australia and New Zealand.

In a move designed to bolster VoIP offerings locally, Mia Distribution will expand the reach of the vendor’s cloud-based EdgeView Service Control Centre and the EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges, featuring call quality monitoring, security, traffic shaping and zero touch provisioning.

The US-based vendor specialises in enabling real-time communication services for service providers through Network Edge Orchestration solutions, working with managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers across the channel.

“The Australia and New Zealand markets are experiencing rapid growth, which presents challenges to service providers to maintain efficiencies and quality in their deployments,” Edgewater Networks CEO Dave Norman said.

“Mia Distribution’s position as a leading distributor in Australia and New Zealand of VoIP solutions and phone systems is a great fit for Edgewater Networks’ vendor agnostic platform that delivers hybrid cloud/edge solutions to monitor, secure, and optimise service quality for voice and data.

“We look forward to working with Mia Distribution and its portfolio of IP endpoints to deliver a high-quality voice and data experience to customers.”

According to Norman, the vendor’s Network Edge Orchestration platform is “seamlessly interoperable” with the VoIP phones carried by Mia Distribution, including Polycom and Yealink.

“Mia Distribution is excited to be working with Edgewater Networks, a market leader in unified communications,” Mia Distribution sales and product manager Matt Milne added.

“Edgewater Networks’ Core to Edge solutions bring an incredible value to our channel partners.”
