APC by Schneider Electric has put the finishing touches to its revamped channel strategy in New Zealand, through the launch of a new partner program across the country.
Following a local distribution change in early August, the vendor has unveiled a tailored program for Kiwi resellers, focusing on improving development, profitability and support.
Available to partners from October, the program will be backed up with bolstered rewards and training initiatives, backed up further by an online portal.
“We’ve been working to bring a partner program to New Zealand for a while, so we are extremely excited to announce the launch this October,” Schneider Electric general manager of channels and alliance Muralee Kanagaratnam told Reseller News.
“We’ve seen tremendous success with our existing programs, and we look forward to replicating this in New Zealand.
“The focus of this new partner program is really around helping increase profitability, enablement and support for channel partners to provide the best possible partner experience.”
Kanagaratnam said the program has been developed from partner feedback of previous programs, and will be unveiled through three local events across Wellington (October 17), Christchurch (October 25) and Auckland (November 9).
“What we want to do is give an exceptionally good partner experience, so we want to provide further transparency on our go-to market, and we will certainly be doing this with our program in New Zealand,” Kanagaratnam added.
The launch comes two months after APC by Schneider Electric appointed Dicker Data as a new distributor in New Zealand, replacing Ingram Micro in the local market.
As reported by Reseller News, the new partnership agreement now allows Dicker Data to distribute vendor’s solutions and service to channel partners on both sides of the Tasman, joining Westcon-Comstor in the vendor’s IT distribution network in New Zealand.
This change is relevant to only New Zealand and does not impact the distribution model in Australia.
As revealed by Reseller News, the move help pave the way for the launch of the new partner program locally, designed to ensure the channel remains profitable across the vendor's wider portfolio.
“Off the back of our recent success in winning the RFP for APC in New Zealand we have experienced tremendous growth in both business and engagement with the local APC team,” Westcon-Comstor managing director of New Zealand Dave Rosenberg told Reseller News.
“We are looking forward to launching the program in New Zealand, I have personally observed the success of this in Australia and we will be continuing our channel initiatives around APC as this program is rolled out.
"This will certainly lift APC again well above the competitors in this space while focussing on the all-important partner profitability.”
