IntegrationWorks has expanded its presence across Australia through an alliance partnership with Brisbane-based start-up Reekoh, in a bid to drive deeper capabilities through the Internet of Things (IoT).

Terms of the deal will see the Wellington-based business adopt the Reekoh IoT integration platform and product suite, designed to bolster offerings across the enterprise.

Since launching in 2005, IntegrationWorks has continued to aggressively expand outside of New Zealand, opening offices in Australia and the UK with a headcount now reaching 71.

Specialising in digital transformation, cloud and application technologies, customers include organisations from healthcare, banking and finance, alongside government and supply chain sectors.

After establishing credentials as a channel partners for IBM and Mulesoft in particular, the company joined forces with Reekoh earlier this year, leveraging the start-up's deep expertise across IoT.

“IntegrationWorks Australia are excited to be entering into a partnership with Reekoh to provision IoT integration platform solutions to companies throughout Australia,” IntegrationWorks Australia managing director Ian Richards said.

“The combination of our high end integration expertise coupled with the excellent Reekoh integration platform for IoT will open up a whole new set of technical solutions ranging from remote equipment performance and health monitoring to smart vending machines and health devices.”

Founded in 2015, Reekoh operates as an open enterprise integration platform (iPaaS), purpose-built for IoT.

Powered by the Plugin Store marketplace, the start-up securely and intelligently orchestrates data from millions of devices through the largest collection of enterprise gateways, cloud platforms, tools and services.

“We knew from the first time we spoke to the guys from IntegrationWorks that we had something that was perfect for their situation,” Reekoh CEO Dale Rankine added.

“They know integration and the complexities that exist within just the enterprise data and system space, and are experts with the tools that solve those problems.

“But they also knew that those tools weren’t purpose-built for IoT, and that using something like Reekoh could allow them to approach solutions in the way they were comfortable with while being designed to address the specific complexities of IoT.”

In striking key alliances with Microsoft, Deloitte, Salesforce, Cisco, Jasper Technologies and Equinix among others, Reekoh also partners with system integrators, network providers, hardware vendors and software solutions providers.

“We’ve always seen system integrators as a key channel for us, and it’s exciting to see how well our value proposition has fit with those like IntegrationWorks who are growing rapidly and seeing opportunities in IoT as a way for them to continue that growth,” Rankine added.

With a new release of the Reekoh platform - coupled with new modules, features and security options - Rankine said Reekoh has experienced accelerated growth during the past year, with high expectations for a “strong” fourth quarter.

The partnership also follows news of an Australian expansion for IntegrationWorks, which opened a new office in Sydney in August.

Following a string of new contracts, alongside increased local headcount, the enterprise specialist provider continues to build on its presence on both sides of the Tasman.

Since launching less than two years ago, the IntegrationWorks Australia team has grown to 35 staff across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

As with the New Zealand business, the teams are made up of specialist integration consultants, API strategists, architects, devOps and integration project managers.
