The Instillery has secured a double partnership on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with public cloud expansion plans continuing through Advanced Consulting and Authorised Public Sector partner statuses.
Confirmed on the eve of the AWS Public Sector Summit in Canberra on 30 August, the double addition of two new partner designations adds weight to the New Zealand-based cloud provider’s bid for further growth across government and enterprise markets.
Specifically, the accreditations recognise partners capable of demonstrating technical proficiency on the AWS platform, alongside the ability to migrate, optimise, automate, secure and manage central and local government applications and workloads.
In particular, the public sector acknowledgement will allow the Auckland-based business to operate as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member, delivering specialised solutions aligned with the AWS Well-Architected framework.
In a bid to support the deployment of public cloud solutions across government, the tech giant established the AWS Partner Competency Program to help customers identify consulting and technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
“The Kiwi public sector sector has really only scratched the service of the well documented benefits that are inherent through improved digital services, enhanced citizen experiences and of course open data,” The Instillery chief product officer Jeremy Nees told Reseller News.
“Public cloud offerings underpin the agile development of these services. The benefits arising from this are better public services with a more intuitive and engaging experience when interacting with publicly provided services.
“A number of the coolest projects in New Zealand today are happening in the government space, proving there is significant scope for innovation with lateral thinking, proven reference architectures combined with deep understanding of the legislation that governs the use of cloud in government.”
Prior to the AWS Cloud Framework Agreement - announced in New Zealand in May 2017 - Nees said The Instillery was already supporting government organisations to identify the benefits of leveraging public cloud.
“While the initial focus is often around cost savings, the broader benefits that public cloud provides is around aligning organisational transformation with technology,” he added. “This becomes very compelling, in-particular when looking at new ways to engage customers.
“These include improving public-facing services and providing greater access to information.”
