Two Degrees head of fixed lines, Mark Petrie, will leave the company in late September.

Petrie said while he’s stepping out of the day-to-day business, he will continue to be a shareholder with a strong interest in seeing th telco succeed.

Petrie was the owner of broadband provider Snap, which Two Degrees acquired in 2015 for payment in cash and shares of $28.3 million.

Two Degrees CEO Stewart Sherriff said Petrie brought more than just Snap to thee company, staying on to make sure the integration went smoothly and ensure both organisations could combine to become the country’s fastest growing telco.

“Mark put personal effort into making sure Two Degrees could deliver on the promise of being a full-service telco for all market segments. He’s been at the forefront of continued growth in broadband and new business with major organisations.”

Petrie said now that the biggest part of the integration between the two companies was complete, he could step away from the operational side of the business.

“I’m keen to do some different things and feel assured Two Degrees has a strong market position, with plenty of capable people in the business that can carry things on without me,” he said.
