Schneider Electric has appointed Dicker Data as a new distributor in New Zealand, replacing Ingram Micro in the local market.

The new partnership agreement now allows Dicker Data to distribute APC by Schneider Electric's solutions and service to channel partners on both sides of the Tasman.

As a result, Dicker Data joins Westcon in the vendor’s IT distribution network in New Zealand, replacing Ingram Micro who will cease distributing APC products after 31 August 2017.

This change is relevant to only New Zealand and does not impact the distribution model in Australia.

“We would like to thank Ingram Micro for their support and development of the APC by Schneider Electric business over the years and wish them every success,” APC by Schneider Electric general manager of operations, channels and alliances Muralee Kanagaratnam said.

“Dicker Data is an expert and focused distributor enabling Schneider Electric’s IT Division to reach new markets. We’re confident this partnership will expand our customer exposure and help us access a target audience in the New Zealand marketplace.

“The new distribution landscape in New Zealand will best serve our aspirations for future growth.”

In September, Kanagaratnam said APC by Schneider Electric will launching a new partner program in New Zealand, designed to ensure the channel remains profitable across the vendor's wider portfolio.

“The APC by Schneider Electric product range will provide our SMB and Enterprise reseller base with a broader range of power and UPS options from one of the world’s technology leaders,” Dicker Data COO Vlad Mitnovetski added.

“We look forward to growing APC by Schneider Electric’s market share in all segments and increasing the profitability of our partners in New Zealand.”
