Research examining the state of the IT channel across Australia and New Zealand is now underway, with findings set to uncover end-user buying behaviour, partner priorities and vendor alignment in 2017 and beyond.
With in-depth findings set to be delivered at EDGE 2017 in Hamilton Island, the research aligns to the theme of The Future Channel, and will be carried out by boutique analyst firm, Tech Research Asia.
Specifically, the EDGE research is split into three core areas, spanning IT buyer, IT channel partner and IT vendor, assessing similarities and differences across the wider technology industry.
For channel partners, the research will uncover the purchasing patterns of IT services and products by customers, outlining budget plans for the next 12 months, alongside new technology preferences and new influencers of IT.
In addition, findings will demonstrate investment priorities for end-users, alongside what customers truly think of solution providers from a pros and cons perspective.
Likewise, the research will benchmark partner answers against that of customers and vendors, providing an opportunity to assess whether the channel is aligned in terms of spending plans and technology preferences.
From a partner perspective, the research will also assess the health of the ecosystem on both sides of the Tasman, probing the channel’s shift to managed services, alongside its ability to embrace new and emerging technologies.
Collectively, this research will provide a clear picture of spending habits across Australia and New Zealand, offering in-depth insight into what makes a customer tick in 2017.
