Guest speakers have been announced for EDGE 2017, with a host of global and local channel experts set to offer insights and guidance around The Future Channel.
Set for Hamilton Island on 30 July - 2 August, EDGE will see 250 executive-level partners, vendors and distributors join together for four days of conferencing at the flagship destination channel event across Australia and New Zealand.
Hosted by Reseller News and ARN, the Aussie and Kiwi channels will come together to access high-level strategic content that is tailored to trans-Tasman needs, all held against the backdrop of the Great Barrier Reef.
Headlining proceedings will be Professor Mohanbir Sawhney, a globally recognised scholar, teacher, consultant and speaker in innovation, strategic marketing and new media.
Addressing Global 2000 firms and governments worldwide, Professor Sawhney has consulted clients such as Accenture; AT&T; Boeing; Cisco Systems; Dell; GE; Goldman Sachs; Kellogg Company; McDonald’s; Microsoft; Nissan Motor; SAP and Sony to name but a few.
With six books published, Professor Sawhney’s research and teaching currently focuses on modern marketing, organic growth and business innovation.
Aligned to The Future Channel theme, Professor Sawhney will be joined on stage by Greg Miller, who will provide insight in how partners can build for tomorrow through leveraging emerging technologies in the market.
Following a 23-year technology career spanning Silicon Valley and Australasia, Miller will outline the disruptive technologies on the horizon, its impact on society and the economy, alongside the wider role of the industry is building a digital future.
Complementing the futuristic thinking nature of the conference, renowned analysts Jay McBain, Mark Iles and Moheb Moses will debate its impact in the context of the channel.
As an accomplished global speaker, author and innovator in the IT industry, McBain has been recognised in both the Top 20 Global Channel Visionaries and the Top 50 Global Channel Influencers, having spent over 20 years operating within the partner ecosystem.
Meanwhile, Iles is an industry analyst with Tech Research Asia, drawing on over 25 years of experience across the software, IT and telecommunications industries. Iles specialises in the impact of emerging technologies on the traditional vendor-partner-customer relationships, outlining go-to-market strategies in the process.
In addition, Moses specialises in channel strategy development, messaging and communication and executive coaching, leveraging 30 years of industry knowledge to help businesses transition to newer and more profitable business models.
Collectively, all speakers will contribute to the overriding narrative of EDGE 2017, which will outline the future opportunities for partners, vendors and distributors in the years ahead.
EDGE 2017 will examine what a future customer looks like, what a future partner looks like, the future verticals and markets to explore, alongside the future technologies and the future role of vendors and distributors.
