Dicker Data NZ takes out trans-Tasman Citrix award

Win comes less than nine months after securing sole CSP distribution deal in New Zealand.

Dicker Data has been recognised as the leading distributor for Citrix across Australia and New Zealand, with the New Zealand business specifically honoured.

Less than nine months after being named the sole Citrix Service Provider program (CSP) distributor in New Zealand, Dicker Data took home the award at the vendor’s regional partner conference in Thailand.

“Having the best people running our Citrix business has helped us to secure this award,” Dicker Data software and cloud business unit manager Lou Nunn said.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without our long standing Citrix partners in New Zealand.”

As reported by Reseller News, Dicker Data was awarded the sole distribution contract for Citrix CSP licenses in September 2016, culminating in aggressive growth across the Kiwi market.

Effective November 21, terms of the deal now see Dicker Data control the vendor’s licensing portfolio in New Zealand, blended into its current offerings around Software-as-a-Service, cloud and subscriptions.

“We have been distributing Citrix since 1998,” Nunn added. “Jenny (Citrix product manager) has been involved in Citrix business for the last 14 years.

“Our company has effectively been growing up with Citrix in New Zealand and we are absolutely delighted to win this award.”

The Citrix Service Provider Program is a Citrix partner program designed specifically for service providers who provide and/or resell hosted software services to end-user customers.

Designed to help parents build high-value hosted workspace businesses through extensive guidance, support and tools to plan, build, market and sell, the program provides the technical and business resources required to build a high-value cloud-focused practice.

As a current member in the Microsoft Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) program, Dicker Data qualified for the CSP program through its deepened relationship with Microsoft, and the distributor’s standing as a leading cloud provider in New Zealand.

“As Citrix accelerate their cloud transformation, our objective is to broaden our partner ecosystem by leading with Citrix CSP whilst leveraging our Microsoft market leadership,” Nunn added.

Fresh from reporting double digit growth, Nunn said Dicker Data are “actively recruiting” new Citrix CSP partners in the market, alongside the hiring of Royden Burt as the Citrix CSP technical lead to support partner enablement requirements.
