Ingram Micro grabs Veeam NZ aggregator role

Resellers are the winners as deal provides access to entire Veeam product portfolio.

Ingram Micro's Gary Bigwood said Veeam Aggregator status is "great news" for resellers.

Ingram Micro's Gary Bigwood said Veeam Aggregator status is "great news" for resellers.

Veeam has expanded Ingram Micro distribution role in New Zealand, appointing the company as a Veeam Cloud and Service Provider (VCSP) Aggregator.

The deal means Ingram Micro resellers can now access Veeam’s cloud service provider solutions, as well as the products already available through the perpetual licensing model.

Ingram Micro New Zealand managing director, Gary Bigwood, said the big gain is for Ingram Micro MSPs and resellers, who now have the option to aggregate the Veeam products and services they provide to their customers on a monthly, pay-as-they-go basis, as well as through a perpetual licensing model.

“It means any of our partners who provide managed cloud services have an almost limitless flexibility in the Veeam products they can offer to their customers," he said.

"This flexible, instantly scaleable approach is at the heart of Ingram Micro’s approach to delivering cloud capabilities to our partners."

As reported by Reseller News, Ingram Micro began representing Veeam in April last year.

Veeam vice president for ANZ, Don Williams, said the appointment was made because Ingram achieved the fastest market share growth of any newly appointed distributor worldwide.

"Ingram Micro has done a fantastic job in New Zealand, achieving the fastest market share growth of any newly appointed distributor worldwide," Williams said.

"We are delighted with how quickly Ingram Micro has delivered value to Veeam and we have every confidence that this trend will continue with the Aggregator appointment."

Veeam offers a range of solutions for multi-cloud environments that scale to suit organisations from SMB to enterprise and government.

The company currently has 230,000 customers worldwide and protects more than 13.3 million virtual machines.
