Insight Enterprises has appointed Michael Morgan as general manager of Australia and New Zealand, recruiting the industry expert from Empired.
Effective immediately, Morgan replaces Matt Hendra in the trans-Tasman management role, following his move to Henry Schein, a global health care provider.
“With proven success in business transformation, whilst managing high performance sales teams and leading executive engagement with vendor partnerships, we are delighted to make this announcement,” Insight Enterprises senior vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific, Andrea Della Mattea, said.
Having ran the local Empired business for over two years, Morgan previously held management roles at Intergen and Oakton.
“I’ve watched with interest over the years as Insight has gone from strength to strength and believe the business is uniquely placed to take advantage of new opportunities in the rapidly changing IT environment in our region,” Morgan said.
“I’ve been really impressed with the people I’ve met and the culture at Insight and couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the team, its growth and success.”
The appointment comes less than six months after the global consulting and managed services provider acquired Ignia, a Perth-based Microsoft partner.
As reported by ARN, the acquisition expanded the services and solutions company’s expertise and capabilities in digital transformation, including user experience, mobility, business analytics and Internet of Things (IoT).
