​HP honours top performing Kiwi partners

Tech giant recognises and celebrates excellence across the New Zealand channel.

HP has recognised its top performing partners in New Zealand at the second annual 2016 HP Partner Awards, held at a glittering bash in Auckland.

The HP Partner Awards recognises and celebrates excellence, growth, consistency and engagement of its top partners.

This year also saw the addition of several new categories, resulting in 11 companies winning across 11 award categories.

HP New Zealand Commercial and Enterprise Sales Manager Commercial and Enterprise Sales Manager, Victoria Mahan, said the vendor’s partners "work tirelessly to create new, tailored solutions" to suit customers, with the awards acknowledging the "hard work" of the local channel.

"It’s been incredible to see our partners making their mark and creatively pushing the boundaries within the industry," Mahan said.

"Our commercial business is represented by an exceedingly talented network of companies, and the HP Partner community is the foundation of this.

"This is our way of thanking our incredible partners for the work they do, celebrate their achievements and recognise their hard work and contribution to customers across New Zealand."

HP New Zealand Partner Awards Winners:

Distributor of the Year

Winner: Ingram Micro

"Ingram Micro had a stellar year across both PC and print, smashing their numbers and achieving outstanding results for the business," Mahan said.

"Not only this, the team created a whole new level of engagement with HP and their customers, particularly with the Hit the Road tour through the regions, showcasing the best of our technology throughout the country."

HP Channel Sales Person of the Year 2016

Winner: Neth Ky, Datacom

“In the past year Neth has excelled in converting customers from competitors to HP, while cementing the strong relationships between HP and Datacom to ensure we worked shoulder-to-shoulder in any given opportunity," HP New Zealand Printing Systems Sales Manager, Oliver Hill, said.

"This award is a fitting recognition of all the support HP has received from Neth this year."

HP Direct Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Spark Digital

“A huge congratulations to the team at Spark Digital for their well-deserved win," HP New Zealand Partner Business Manager, Max Wong, said.

"Together with HP, we set targets to achieve more joint sales together, increase the accuracy of performance forecasts and deliver a sales performance higher than previous years, and they nailed it."

Finalists: Datacom Auckland and PB Technologies

HP Gold Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Noel Leeming Commercial

“Since becoming a gold partner, we’ve seen incredible growth from Noel Leeming Commercial," HP New Zealand Partner Business Manager, Antony Watts, said.

"There has been an exceptional level of engagement from the 50 strong team, and the continued investment to upskill the team led to their well-deserved win last night."

HP Silver Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Manux Solutions

“Manux Solutions achieved an incredible 75 per cent growth year-on-year and exceeded their target every quarter," Hill added.

"The team also converted a number of large New Zealand organisations to HP using very creative solutions and we’ve been blown away by their continued support."

NZ Growth Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Datacom Auckland

“This award is truly a testament to Datacom’s tireless efforts in creating innovative, go-to-market initiatives contributing to their amazing triple-digit growth," Watts added.

"We congratulate their entire team for all their efforts and dedication to HP this year."

HP Marketing Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Acquire

“Some of the most exciting and innovative marketing campaigns in New Zealand have come out of Acquire this year, and we want to congratulate them on consistently challenging the norm," Watts added.

"We can’t wait to see what’s to come next year."

HP Education Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Cyclone

“The Cyclone team’s incredible depth of knowledge in the education sector resulted in their win last night," Watts added.

"The environment is extremely competitive and Cyclone managed to achieve year-on-year growth, whilst receiving positive market feedback for their work."

HP Retailer of the Year 2016

Winner: Warehouse Stationery

“The Warehouse Stationary team always look for new ways to reinvent themselves, and we’ve had a great partnership through the years," HP New Zealand Retail Account Manager, Tina Tu, added.

"We look forward to another great year ahead with the team."

HP Regional Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: Scotttronic Technologies

"We want to congratulate Scottronic Technologies for the outstanding win this year," Mahan added.

"The team delivered exceptional growth in 2016, along with some fantastic initiatives to drive the business. We look forward to another successful year with the team."

HP Specialist Partner of the Year 2016

Winner: CSG Business Solutions

“CSG won the Specialist Partner of the Year award last night for the focused efforts to drive the HP Pagewide story to market," HP New Zealand Partner Business Manager, Rob Lonie, said.

"Growing at more than 150 per cent year-on-year within the category, this is a result of CGS’s ability to provide a best in class service and solution offering."
