Open Systems Specialists (OSS) has taken out a string of top Red Hat partner awards, with the Kiwi IT infrastructure provider walking away with regional, cloud and virtualisation honours.

Awarded at the Red Hat Asia Pacific Partner Conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Auckland-based company took home the Region Partner of the Year Award for Australia and New Zealand, alongside regional recognition for its expertise across cloud and virtualisation technologies.

Fending off strong competition from Australia, Japan, China, India, Korea and the ASEAN countries, OSS was recognised for its ability to deliver innovative solutions to customers during the past 12 months.

“OSS has consistently been one of Red Hat's strongest supporters and advocates in the Australia and New Zealand region,” Red Hat country manager of New Zealand, Derek Wilson, told Reseller News.

“In the last year, OSS made a significant pivot towards Red Hat's new offerings, which has strengthened our partnership.”

During the past two decades, OSS has forged a reputation in New Zealand as leading proffers of web and application infrastructure, alongside management, automation, storage as well as backup and recovery.

As specialists in open systems and infrastructure, the 100 percent Kiwi-owned company works with organisations across a range of sectors.

“During our partnership, OSS moved from being a long-term Red Hat Enterprise Linux and management partner to being a strategic cloud partner, selling solutions based on Red Hat's Cloud Forms, OpenStack and OpenShift products,” Wilson added.

“OSS has demonstrated its commitment to the Red Hat vision and ecosystem by investing in training ahead of the curve for its highly-skilled technical staff.”
