Distribution Central has added the latest iteration of security vendor, MobileIron’s product offering to its roster for the Australia and New Zealand market.

The MobileIron Access product adds to its existing offerings from the vendor including MobileIron Sentry, which protects data in motion and blocks access from non-compliant devices; MobileIron Tunnel which does this for applications; and identity management integration.

MobileIron said the new offering enables organisations to access these features for Cloud services.

Distribution Central CEO, Nick Verykios, said mobile and Cloud technologies change quickly and and therefore, so do IT security requirements.

“Any company that has employees using mobile devices and Cloud services, and I’d say that is almost every company in Australia, should consider a solution that enhances their IT security at the mobile app level,” he added.

MobileIron CEO, Barry Mainz, said mobile and Cloud are becoming increasingly strategic to Australian enterprises as more staff regularly conduct work outside their offices.

“However, people assume Cloud services are automatically secure because they require a username and password and that’s simply not true,” he added.

“MobileIron Access provides IT administrators with the first unified solution for mobile and Cloud security and we’re very pleased to be working with Distribution Central to bring it to Australia.”
