D-Link drives Emirates Team NZ with Americas Cup networking deal

Emirates Team New Zealand partners with D-Link for all of its networking, wireless and connectivity equipment requirements.

Emirates Team New Zealand has partnered with D-Link for all of its networking, wireless and connectivity equipment requirements in its push to win the 35th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup in 2017.

Building on a longstanding partnership, terms of the deal will see D-Link build on existing network equipment including switches, Wi-Fi equipment and surveillance cameras.

“This is more than a simple sponsorship, it’s been an ongoing partnership that provides Emirates Team NZ a real technological advantage over its rivals,” says Graeme Reardon, Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand, D-Link.

“Over our years of working with the team, we have supplied a range of high-performance Wi-Fi, Switching and IP surveillance solutions to protect and secure their home base, as well as to allow wireless connectivity back into their other infrastructure - and as this latest America’s Cup challenge comes forth, D-Link has again stepped up to help.”

Reardon said the vendor has worked in close partnership with Emirates Team NZ to provide ongoing wireless and surveillance options.

“As we get closer to race time these options will be expanded upon further and will also include solutions that will link, connect and protect the Emirates Team NZ base in Bermuda with all of the team’s other stakeholders involved in making sure that they have the best chance of winning the 35th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup in 2017,” he added.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
