UXC Eclipse, a CSC company, has appointed Nicholas Birch to the role of Senior Executive, based in New Zealand, following the company’s acquisition of Koorb Consulting.

As reported by Reseller News in October 2015, UXC Eclipse, a wholly owned subsidiary of UXC Limited, acquired selected assets of the Kiwi technology firm, taking on board the Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) divisions of the company.

Consequently, the appointment follows the acquisition with Birch responsible for supporting the sales team and lead generation activities in the New Zealand market.

Previously, Birch was the Joint Managing Director of Koorb Consulting, drawing on over 35 years of experience in the deployment of enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), SharePoint and BI solutions.
“We look forward to having Nicholas continue his strong customer relations for UXC Eclipse in New Zealand,” says Simon Kingston, Country Manager New Zealand, UXC Eclipse.
“His experience and expertise will help further drive UXC Eclipse’s growth in the market.”
With a team of over 600 people across 16 international offices (New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Canada, and the United States), Kingston says UXC Eclipse is committed to supporting more than 2,000 customers.

Sizing up the NZ security spectrum - Where's the channel sweet spot?

From new extortion schemes, outside threats and rising cyber attacks, the art of securing the enterprise has seldom been so complex or challenging. With distance no longer a viable defence, Kiwi businesses are fighting to stay ahead of the security curve. In total, 28 per cent of local businesses faced a cyber attack last year, with the number in New Zealand set to rise in 2017. Yet amidst the sensationalism, media headlines and ongoing high profile breaches, confusion floods the channel, as partners seek strategic methods to combat rising sophistication from attackers. In sizing up the security spectrum, this Reseller News roundtable - in association with F5 Networks, Kaspersky Lab, Tech Data, Sophos and SonicWall - assessed where the channel sweet spot is within the New Zealand channel.
