CyberArk has strengthened its regional channel strategy by making two key hires, designed to strengthen its partner community and support growth across Asia-Pacific and Japan.

Bruce Nixon has joined the company as channel manager for Australia and New Zealand, while Adel Eid has been appointed as senior director of channels for Asia-Pacific and Japan.

According to CyberArk vice-president of sales in Asia-Pacific and Japan, Vincent Goh, Nixon and Eid understand the level of attention and support required to make the vendor's partner community successful.

"Our channel business partners are the cornerstone of our success in this region and we are committed to building and nurturing strong, mutually beneficial partnerships that enable customers to have better access to advanced cyber security solutions," he said.

Goh said Nixon will aim to reinforce the company's partner go-to-market strategies and maintain sales momentum locally.

Most recently, Nixon was an account executive at FieldAware, while previously holding roles at Aruba Networks, where he drove the expansion strategy of the Aruba partner community.

Nixon has also worked in several regional sales and account management roles at Juniper Networks, Symantec and McAfee.

Based in Singapore, Eid’s new role finds him responsible for enabling CyberArk’s channel organisation within the Asia-Pacific and Japan region, following previous roles at Cisco and Symantec.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
